University of Aberdeen – Business School Pupil Conference
The University of Aberdeen are delighted to invite pupils to their ‘Business for the Next Generation’ event on Wednesday 5 June at the University. The event is primarily aimed at S4 pupils who have just moved into S5 or S5 who have moved into S6, and have a genuine interest in Business Related subjects, with the ambition to enter into further education when they finish school.
There is an external speaker coming to give an inspirational talk – an entrepreneur story, it’s ok to fail kind of talk/what really determines success. One of their alumni coming into talk about her pathway and carry out a networking exercise. Members of Business School staff will also deliver sessions to include a session on Robots taking over jobs, a session on Emotional Intelligence as well as a session on Money, Finance and Investment. As well as a campus tour, there will be a chance for pupils to put their networking skills into practice by speaking with university staff, students, and different colleagues from around the University. An external speaker coming to give a session called Money Matters – talking about budgeting, there will be a talk on preparing for University Life and also a talk by the careers team.
