We are delighted to share the following opportunity from the law firm CMS who are welcoming applications from students for their bursary scheme.
Available across the UK, the scheme provides £2,500 per year of study for high-achieving students from disadvantaged backgrounds. The deadline to apply for the bursary is 29 June 2018. Further information sheet is available Bursary+Rules+Scotland+2018.
The scheme is open to students who meet the following criteria:
- Predicted ABB at A-Level or equivalent (at least 320 UCAS points at Higher);
- Intending to study a law degree at a Russell Group University
- Not yet accepted a place at university – (most applicants are in S5. Students can still apply if in S6, or have finished secondary education completely, as long as they will be applying to university in the 2018/19 UCAS process.)
- First in their family to attend university
Further guidelines are attached and the application form can be found here.
We would be grateful if you could share this opportunity with any students you think may be interested.
For information, this email has been sent to all school coordinators across Scotland who have current year one and/or year two (recently graduated) Career Ready students and local authority coordinators.
